Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Writing Guidelines

Enlightenment Law Review Journal is a journal published by .............. and managed by ...................... This journal is published periodically twice a year in ................ and ..................., with the aim of disseminating research results or conceptual studies related to ......................... The Enlightenment Law Review Journal publishes two issues each year. The Enlightenment Law Review Journal contains research results or conceptual studies (scholarly ideas) concerning ................... . The Enlightenment Law Review Journal is intended for experts, academics, practitioners, state administrators, NGOs, and observers of constitutional law.

  1. Submitted manuscripts must be original scientific works and must not contain plagiarism, with a similarity check of no more than 30% using Turnitin.
  2. Manuscripts must be written in Indonesian or English according to the template format provided. The length of the scientific manuscript should not exceed 8000 words and not be less than 5000 words or approximately 20 pages, including accompanying images, graphs, or tables (if any) (counted from introduction to references).
  3. The manuscript must include the Article Title, Author Name, Author Affiliation, Author Institutional Address, Author Email Address, Abstract, and Keywords.
  4. The article title must be specific and concise, formulated with a maximum of 12 words (Indonesian) or 10 words (English), clearly reflecting the content of the article comprehensively.
  5. The abstract must be written clearly, completely, and comprehensively describing the essence of the entire article in two languages, Indonesian and English, each consisting of one paragraph with a word count between 200–250 words.
  6. The selected keywords must reflect the concepts contained in the article, consisting of 3–5 terms in two languages, Indonesian and English.

  8. The structure for writing a conceptual study (conceptual paper) is as follows:

References and citations must use the footnote model following The Chicago Manual of Style format categorized by source type such as books, journals, papers, essays in edited books, and internet sources. Sources are arranged alphabetically within each category. References listed in the bibliography must only include those actually cited in the manuscript. Bibliography: Minimum of 15 references excluding regulations and laws. The bibliography should follow these provisions: 80% of references should come from journals (relevant within the last 5 years). The bibliography is arranged alphabetically by the author's name. Author name format: the displayed name is the author's last name (family name) followed by the initials of the first name (and middle name if any). If there is more than one author, the same format applies. Titles of references such as unpublished scientific works, books, journals, seminar papers, or independent articles begin with capital letters for each main word (except conjunctions). Specifically for journal article titles, capital letters are used only at the beginning of the sentence. Punctuation at the end of writing names, year, article title, and so on ends with a period (.) before continuing to the next word. Specifically, the writing of journal volume (issue) uses a colon (:) without space. Examples of writing can be seen in the explanation of each type of reference source.

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
